Hello my name is Amzipo,I am 12 years old. I have 2 brothers and my parents are divorced, we live with our mom.My brothers and I go to the same school. My life is really difficult because my mom is sick and we are not close to the clinic.I have to take care of my younger brothers.We don't have a lot of water,food,money and clothes.
There have been 3 problems in my family's lives after my parents got divorced, we had a fire and our house got burned and we had to rebuild our shack,we have been robbed and my mom got fired from her job.
We live in a shack on a hill,we have 2 rooms,a kitchen and 1 bed room. It is really neat and tidy on the inside but looks broken on the outside.Every morning I have to wake up at 5:00AM with an empty bucket and go and get water from the tap.There are only 2 taps in the little town, but the one tap is really close to us so we use that one, but sometimes there is no water in the tap.We sometimes have no water for years and years which is terrible.
Anyway when I arrive at home my mom and brothers are still sleeping. It is about 5:30AM. When I get dressed for school, my brothers wake up and get ready for school. Then it is time for us to go to school. My mom is in her pjs and says goodbye, but it is raining,so in the cold wet rain my brothers and I walk to school with no shoes and no lunch.
When we get to school I drop off my brothers then I go to my class and sit at my desk. There are only 10 text books and 30 children,so we have to share the text books which sometimes can be a bit hard. The teenage girls are sometimes pregnant and they are 14-15 years old.
My brothers and I go home and by the time we get home it is time for us to go to bed with no supper.Sometimes we have supper but that is only when my mom has bought food, but tonight we have no supper. It is really sad that my younger brothers and I have to go to bed with no food in our tummies and with a wet bed from the rain.
I would like to see changes in my house , toilets,taps,dry beds and a full pantry. Schools with more text books and stationery would be fantastic.
